More than a luxury boutique hotel, Soori Penang is a deeply personal homecoming and tribute to heritage, memory, and place. Conceived by Soo K Chan, this project marks a full-circle return to the site of his childhood. Born and raised in the very shophouses that now house the hotel, Chan grew up within the historic compound of the Khoo Kongsi Temple, the ancestral home of his maternal clan.
